Welcome back to the IHG Trug updates! Before we begin, can we please take a moment of silence for Raffles, because they totally got dominated by our ladies today (I’m sorry… ggwp though!) I know I said the last match was great, but this match was even better. This really makes me excited for what’s to come for the Eusoff female Truggers!
All of the line ups had spectacular defence during this match. It seems as if every time RH had possession of the ball, Eusoff always manages to get the ball back as soon as possible from making good touches. This caused RH to fumble under the pressure of our girls.
Now, let’s talk about the plays from Eusoff that allowed them to score SIXTEEN tries. The first line with Claudia, Jeyin, Hui Lin and Tanita worked together fluidly to bring down the ball to the try line. Among their try attempts (7), they managed to score 5 successful tries (3 by Claudia, 1 by Jeyin and the last by Hui Lin)! The highlights were definitely Hui Lin and Claudia’s impeccable chemistry on the field, Claudia’s big brain move of doing a fake pass to throw her opponents off before scoring a try, along with her being a player and then a referee when she called for RH being off the mark (versatile or what?)

The second line with Theng Xuan, Faith, Audrey and Alicia scored 4 tries, 2 by Theng Xuan and 2 by Faith. Some highlights were the excellent touches and good D done by this line which prevented RH from scoring any tries. Theng Xuan fell a couple of times but she got right back up and went back to her monster defence (nothing can phase her). This line was also exceptionally fast, and together with their accurate passes, it was the perfect combo for a successful try.

For the last line with Humaira, Nikki, Sheann and Clae, they scored 5 tries total (4 by Sheann and 1 by Clae). Sheann was on fire this match, so many good dives and shuts. She was so fast that at one point she just walked into the try zone because of the huge gap in between her and RH. Nikki also managed to get a good shut on RH while Clae also had some good touches herself.
Sheann is rly SHEmply too fast la this picture speaks a thousand words and says it all..

Our male Trug team will also be having their first match of the IHG season against Raffles on 15/1, Saturday, 3 - 4 PM, so do support them as well!
