The faithful day was finally here. The floorball boys were on their way to seal off their IHG season with no losses and a championship title, making them double champs as the girls concluded their carnival games earlier on that day with 4 wins and 1 draw to become champions. Against them was a side that many did not expect to see in the finals - Raffles hall. Raffles were the underdogs this IHG season but found their way all the way into the finals, against the powerhouse Eusoff. Head-to-head, Eusoff has not lost before to Raffles and it was a hard fought draw on Raffles’ end even in the group stage (without IVP players). With the team back in full strength, it was time for Eusoff to show their quality and boss the courts.

The lineups were as follows:

Line 1: Owen, Pradeep Shuwei, Marcus, Jierui

Line 2: Deme, Kevyn, Matt, Ryan Tham, Junwei, Imran

Line 3: Steph, Benji, Azhari, Cedric, Nico

Line 4 : Kai Sheng, Timo, Jinsong, Dylan, Zaheer, Zixuan

Power Plays: Deme, Tham, Azhari, Nico, Kevyn

Goalkeepers: Timo Ang, Dillon, Ryan Poh

Eusoff took the lead early on in the first period with Kevyn tapping it home after an incredible dribble from Deme. The IVP players also had a commanding performance, as Junwei dominated the game with his precise passing and solid defending. Timo’s quick reflexes were also called upon for a few dangerous Raffles counter attacks. Ultimately, Eusoff’s outstanding teamwork soon found themselves up 3-0, with Shuwei and a second for Kevyn. The Raffles were unable to keep up with Eusoff's quick pace and the first period ended 3-0 to Eusoff.

In the second period, Raffles came back with a vengeance, determined to turn the game around. They stepped up their game, and with their increased aggression and improved teamwork, they managed to put some pressure on Eusoff. However, despite their best efforts, Eusoff was still unstoppable. A fourth goal came shortly after the restart, with Junwei flying forward and crossing a pinpoint ball to Deme who finished it into the top corner. Minutes later, Azhari dribbled the entire team and went 1 on 1 with the keeper who saved his first shot but conceded a fifth goal to Benji who smashed it home from point blank! Raffles called timeout after this horrific display in a finals game. They managed to find their footing slightly better, but were still under tremendous attacking pressure by Eusoff. Shoutout to the Raffles’ keeper who stopped a handful, but Ryan Tham still managed to score Eusoff’s sixth, extending their lead to 6-0 by the end of the second period. It was an insane goal as the assist came from a nutmeg pass from Junwei which was then fired into the bottom right corner from far out by Ryan, sending both the ball and (the Raffles’ defender’s) stick flying into the air. Eusoff 6 - 0 Raffles.

The final period was less intense as it was nearly impossible for Raffles to make a comeback. Despite that, Raffles continued to fight back, determined to get back in the game and net at least a few back. They managed to score their first goal, which sent the crowd into a frenzy. But despite their valiant effort, Eusoff's defense held strong and they managed to keep the score at 6-1, securing their victory. The final period also saw nice glimpses of Kai Sheng, Nico, Zaheer, Jinsong who managed to clock some playing time in the finals.

The final whistle signaled the end of the game, and the Eusoff players erupted into jubilant celebration, hugging each other and jumping up and down with excitement, as they celebrated their joint champs with the Eusoff Floorball Girls team as well.

Eusoff Hall's victory was well-deserved, and it was clear that their hard work and dedication had paid off. They had dominated the game from start to finish and had shown their superior ball skills and teamwork on the courts. The IVP players were the stars of the show, but the outstanding performances from the subs were what really earned them the chance to even play in the finals.

Kudos to both the girls and guys teams for bringing the golden cookies home! Everyone is already looking forward to yet another terrific performance by them next year's IHG!

The wildest celebration for our golden cookie (IYKYK).
