This was a very slay day. As we all know, it is the day we won every single match, and /ItsAGoodDayToBeAnEusoffian indeed. Our boys were part of the many Ws for the day for their semifinal match against Sheares.
First up, we have Keith, who had a calm demeanour as he walked towards the table. Keith takes the first set, but things started going slightly downhill as SH was able to catch up in terms of points. Keith makes a few mistakes with some out smashes, but he was still playing stably, without panicking much. The third and second set were Sheares’. SH was not bad, we give that to them, but Keith must believe he is better. For the fourth match, Sheares was leading with a 2 point margin of 4-6, but you know Eusoff Athletes, they never give up. Keith relentlessly chased the score to a 10-6. He even broke a sweat. WHAT A COMEBACK! The set was Keith’s to take. With 2 sets under his belt, Keith was regaining his confidence, and the vibes were there. With a final score of 11-5, Keith showed SH who was king. And there we go, our first winning match of the night - our boys just need 2 more to proceed into finals- easy game.

Next up we have doubles Joash and Denzel. Denzel was the stand-in coach for girls' semis and helped Yingsin and Joy tremendously, so let's watch his great performance. The first set went to SH 10-12, but it was probably just luck. At the start of the next set Joash smash to the sky, but the next point he smashes real hard, and made up for it. Denzel then played a spin shot that SH can’t return. Wow. How good. Denzel does a drop shot that Sheares cant get. Joash also up-ed his game with super precise shots, and the second set was ours. And the boys were gaining their rhythm to victory. Joash starts the third set with some super edge serve. Denzel smashes out, then got it back with a damn slay smash, real smooth man. At 8-4, Joash boops the ball with his head…wonder if he plays takraw? And there we have it- the third and fourth set was ours.

Our third, and no spoilers, last player was Wan Kang. He never played before , so I had to go around asking everyone whats his name. He may look unassuming, but man probably has the biggest fanbase out of all the boys here. He was videocalling his family and friends during his entire game- what a supportive network! It probably spurred him on to perform so well for the game he was going to play. Even during warm up, he was all smiles and so excited to play. The game started and Wankang has already bagged 2 points when I blinked. He had really good shots and the vibes were so slay. The entire boys team was cheering for him and amazed at his performance. I honestly can't tell if he is just a superstar or SH is just bad…HE IS SO GOOD!! His shots are long to the edge of the table and he can defend well as well. Too bad SH… The set ended at 11-2…and I had to check if this guy is really not IVP…The second set was also 11-2…what complete domination. In between the sets, he looked so relaxed and even introduced his family to the other boys. I guess SH realised how bad the situation was for them because he struggled really hard for the last set…but wankang brought it home with the last set being 11-9. And there we go, our boys are heading off to the finals! Wishing for the best for them! Y’all will surely slay and always remember to have fun.
