Despite having just competed the day before, the boys team were fresh and ready to take on their opponents KE7. They managed to continue their winning streak, claiming yet another clean sweep against their competitors.

First up was captain Hong Yi, who claimed the first victory of the day in his typical calm and collected manner. He won his first set with ease (11-3), and continued to deliver a series of strong smashes, taking the next two sets with a solid margin of 11-6. With captain Hong Yi having set the tone for the day, doubles Chee Wan and Daryl worked well together to secure the second win of the day. They won the first set 11-6, and despite making a few errors, managed to win the second set 11-9 as well! In the third set, KE7 called a timeout, but Chee Wan and Daryl still took the last set comfortably (11-6). Special shoutout to Chee Wan from Bryan Wee who said “He can play doubles and singles, can he play triples anot”.

It is a hope that one day, everyone will be able to find a special someone who looks at you just as intensely as Chee Wan does to the table tennis ball.

While the previous two matches were going on, Shoib was at the neighbouring table playing his match. He started off strong and took the first set 11-8, with some solid moves. However, his opponent began to catch up and Shoib dropped the second set 7-11. Thankfully, despite Bryan Wee saying that he was choking, Shoib took back the third set 11-7. In the longest match of the day, Shoib lost his lead again and lost the fourth set 4-11. In the end however, Shoib prevailed and won the third match for Eusoff!

Old really is gold! Oldies Pei Jie and Zhi Xin seem to be returning back the ball with ease

Next up, Pei Jie and Zhi Xin took the court. Our beloved sports director delivered some good smashes, and Zhi Xin used his very nimble left hand to fend off their opponents. Despite being the oldest doubles in EHTT so far, they worked fast and well together, claiming a solid 3-0 victory against KE7. (11-9, 11-7, 11-7)

Next to them, Bryan Wee was having the time of his life. Despite being very busy flirting with the umpire, he confidently won his first set 11-3, all with a big smile on his face. With the team cheering him on, he continued his winning streak and won the second set 11-4, and even took the last set 11-6 despite accidentally using the wrong hand to hold the bat for a while.

Congratulations to our boys for their second clean sweep in a row, hopefully they manage to keep their streak going!
