As our Eusoff Table Tennis guys face off Raffles Hall in the final preliminary match of their IHG 21/22 journey before they move on to the semi-finals. They aim to keep up their blistering hot winning streak and remain undefeated throughout IHG.
First up we have legendary star freshie series Bevan, who is making his IHG debut here against RH, a secret weapon revealed. Bevan as expected starts and finishes strong, as he casually puts away the first set 11-4 in favor of Eusoff. Bevan decided to make the second set interesting, and at one point was tied at 9, however, cool as a cucumber, he takes the last two points 11-9. The third set was more of the same story, with RH trying to remain close to Bevan, but he just teased him until the end, where he pulled out fast shots and took the set 11-7. No sweat for Bevan, although he claims he did sweat because the aircon was not on.
First Singles (Bevan): 11-4, 11-9, 11-7
Overall Set Score: 3-0 to EH
freshie star Bevan making a great debut as he wins with a clean 3-0!
Next, we have our consistent dynamic duo Klaus and Joash. Klaus and Joash were able to force their opponents into tough situations with their neatly placed shots and uncontrollable spins, which led to many errors on the RH side. The first set ended 11-5 to Eusoff. RH managed to find their footing in the second set and had 5 set points (4-10). However, the pair fought hard and never gave up, and they managed to get 6 points in a row back which led to deuce. In the last stretch of the set, we pulled away 13-11, with pure skill and clutch genes. Although we dropped the third set 5-11, the boys brought it home immediately 11-6.
First Doubles (Klaus and Joash): 11-5, 13-11, 5-11, 11-6
Overall set score: 3-1 to EH
this pair looks SERIOUSly ready to wreck RH... (sry excuse my puns..)
The second singles player was Russell, with his tactically placed shots at the RH body, which allowed him to rack up a couple of points and close out the first set 11-7. Next set, RH took an early lead of 1-3, however, that deficit was easily cut by Russells fast and low serves, which the RH player could not find an answer for. This allowed for Russell to pull away, 11-8. In the third set, Russell had all the momentum necessary to finish it off cleanly, by getting his opponent off balance from his service, and finishing him off with his fast hits.
Second Singles (Russel): 11-7, 11-8, 11-8
Overall Set Score: 3-0 to EH
Next to take to the table were Hengkai and Bryan Wee. Although these two guys troll during warmup when it was game time they switched on, and in a blink of an eye they took the first set easily 11-4. In the second set, RH got serious, but was that enough to stop this Eusoff Powerhouse of a force? Absolutely not. These two jokers, even got the umpires laughing (maybe that’s their secret tactic to victory JK). In the third set, they were up 10-8, but they really do be playing too much, and perhaps wanted to play another set, as they lost the third set 10-12. In the fourth set, no more throwing from Bwee, and that resulted in ez claps 11-6.
Second Doubles (Hengkai and Bryan Wee): 11-4, 11-8, 10-12, 11-6
Overall Set Score: 3-1 to EH
all smiles from the clowning pair, didnt know table tennis need to run around the table??
The final match for Eusoff’s guys table tennis team before they go to the playoffs. Chee Wan was the one playing. With the game running late, both players and spectators were hoping this would be a fast game. Chee Wan probably heard our cries and was like “say less”, as he swiftly finished off the first set 11-4. With his unworldly side spin, he claims the second set in a similar speedy fashion 11-5. The third set was not much different, as Chee Wan only allowed 3 points to be scored this time, as he finishes the clean sweep 11-3.
Third Singles (Chee Wan): 11-4, 11-5, 11-3
Overall Set score: 3-0 to EH
As our boys continue to remain undefeated, go support them as they make a deep run in this IHG journey. Next up semi finals!! All the best bois!!
Overall Score: 5-0 to EUSOFF!!!
