Following the stunning performances from the Medley Relay swimmers, it was time for the power rookies Cloey, Kaile, Janine and Moses to shine in the Mixed Novelty heats. Before the race, the swimmers were seen in Lane 7, stretching their limbs and preparing to ace their swims. This race was more recreational and less competitive as opposed to the other races so I hope that the swimmers had fun during their heats!
The first representative for Eusoff was Cloey. Despite her tiny size, she packed a punch, speedily zooming down the pool in her freestyle! Alas, she was up against an incredibly fast opponent and could not catch up despite her very best efforts. Good effort Cloey! She achieved her personal best of 45.51 seconds!
Up next was Kaile who received the imaginary baton from Cloey and off he went with a plunge into the pool. He displayed energetic arm movements and kicks, pushing himself to catch up with his opponent. He clocked in at 37.60 seconds, which was his personal best! Well done and good fight Kaile!
Following Kaile, Janine called attention to her power kicks as she flew through the water, progressively inching forward to narrow the distance between herself and her opponent. By the time she finished her race, she had managed to reduce the gap significantly. She accomplished a personal best of 40.37 seconds! After Janine’s outstanding performance, would our last swimmer Moses be able to catch up?
We ended the race off with Moses who flaunted a beautiful dive before he tore down the waters with rapid arm movements and legs kicking back at lightning speed. Kudos to Moses for never relenting in his speed and power until he reached the finishing line, achieving his personal best of 34.24 seconds!
With all the swimmers attaining their personal bests, what more could we ask of them? Well done Eusoff Swim, we are proud of you and you should be proud of yourselves! Rest up after your exhilarating race and all the best for the next few events!
