It is our Squash girls’ second showing and they are here to make up for their loss in their first showing against RH. No time is wasted as they get right down to business. There is a fierce look on everybody’s faces as they amp themselves up for some sick games ahead!

Alright first up we got fan favourite WeyTin as her cheerful smile lit up the mood. She starts with her intense warm up, bringing her game face on! The game starts with some confusion as both players are not sure whether to start or not, but her opponent eventually decides to just start. Only to serve out though. Weytin quickly gains control over the game and asserts her dominance over her opponent. With each vicious hit, her opponent seems to lose control more and more. She just keeps racking up more and more points with unforced errors by her opponent to easily takes the game 11-2. It honestly looked like she was just warming up! It was more of the same in the next game except that her smashes into the wall got more and more aggressive. I was convinced the ball was gonna explode at any time. No sweat for her as she takes the next game as well at 11-2. Weytin begins her last set, smiley and cheerful as usual, as her shots flew left and right into the corners of the court, making her opponent slide around like she’s playing twister! She finishes with ease in a 3-0 victory!

The much anticipated match between Farah and KE’s best player was next up! Farah means business and starts her warmups intensely, striking fear into her opponent! The match starts and it is a tough fight right from the start. With a few well-placed drop shots and she barely holds onto her lead with her opponent trailing right behind her. The game is tied and neck and neck all the way till the final points where she’s down 9-10. Her clutchness kicks in and she takes it 12-10 eventually. Her second game starts off rough as she finds herself down 0-2 but she focuses and begins to pressure her opponent. Her opponent tries to be cheeky with some drop shots but the attempts get smacked away by Farah and she takes the game 11-6. In the third game she tried to stay composed being down early but she keeps the gap close! Her shots were low and gave her opponent no chance to return but some mistakes by her were very costly. It ties the game 9-9 but she eventually drops the game. The fourth game was equally intense as she finds herself down a few points again! She forces her opponent to hit the tin a few times to draw some points but she couldn’t overcome the gap and she drops the fourth game 11-7. Final game and Farah was not messing around anymore. Her shots got more precise and her serves were amazing. Her opponent put up a good fight as she tried to claw her way back into the game but Farah just wanted it more as she closes it in style with a devastating forehand to win 3-2!

Next we have Elicia “main sport is actually squash” Low. She hogs the ball during the warmups, almost seemingly showing off in front of her opponent! What a stud! Her opponent starts out with a serve that happens to hit out. Then Elicia unleashes a barrage of THUNDEROUS serves that do not get answered. Not much to say as her opponent is just unable to return her serve so she aces her opponent 11-0 in the first game! More of the same from her as she continues to mount the pressure on her opponent in the next game. A high ball from her is met with her opponent trying to swat the ball but it just grazes her racquet and hits out. The crowd is just silent and watching intently as we are witnessing greatness before our eyes! She looks to close her game early and starts her third game with the same tough serve. A few accidental slip ups but she still controls the game the whole way through and ends it 11-2 to win it 3-0 in record time!

Our fourth matchup has our aceplayer raidboss Fong ringringring ready to ring her way to victory! She starts off strong and her shots land so close to the wall that her opponent cannot return them! It’s a real masterclass by Fong as she has time to observe her opponent’s movements to hit the ball away such that she makes her opponent continuously run! Her shots are so close to the ground to the point where her opponent accidentally smashed her racquet into the ground trying to return her shot! Some intense pressure by her with coupled with some good serves and she takes the first game 11-3. More of the same in the next set and it seems like she is learning from Elicia by giving her opponent these insane serves that they just cannot return! She finishes her second game by just smacking the ball right in front of the wall that left her opponent scrambling after it but to no avail. No surprise there as she takes a comfortable 3-0 W.
Fong Ling was once again dominant. She is on fire at the moment.

Last to grace the court is our hidden ace the tall Ling Yan and she faces off against an opponent almost 2 heads shorter than her! Her serious menacing face and towering stature was quite a scary sight. As usual, our girls start the rallies with great serves that force many errors from their opponents! Halfway through she lets a few points through but regains control and finishes the first game 11-3. More of the same in the second game as her opponent was unable to return her serves! At this rate she is set to ace her opponent out of the match! Finally the long rallies start to come in and LingYan is seen playing with incredible finesse, from close dropshots to well placed shots into the corners of the court she is outclassing her opponent completely! She takes the second game in another 11-3 win. In her last game, she starts to fumble a few hits and sends a few balls into the tin at the start. She quickly regains control and proceeds to dispatch her opponent in a 11-6 victory to win in straight sets.
Congratulations on a 5-0 victory! Good job girls and all the best for your upcoming matches!
