Following the male team’s win against KR the previous day which saw them book a place in the finals, the female squash team looked to do the same in today’s semi final match against RH.
RH only had 4 players to play, meaning 1 of the matches would be a walkover. Unfortunately, the player that did not get to play was Eusoff’s captain Hazel. Out of the 3 matches Eusoff Squash F has played, Hazel managed to only play 1 game… But don’t worry, you can see her in action in the finals against TH!
The next player was Yiyin, who has never lost a set at this IHG so far. Usually during warm-ups we can sort of guess the standard of the players already, and for yiyin, it looks like it's gonna be an 11-0 x3 game. Unsurprisingly, Yiyin takes the first and second sets 11-0. She looked like she was going to beat Hazel’s IHG high score of 33-1. But yiyin was nice enough to give her opponent some points, with the 3rd set finishing 11-2. With that, the 2nd match finishes 3-0 and Eusoff has a 2-0 lead in this game.
The 3rd set would probably go down as the greatest match of this game. Despite a 2-0 lead, the Eusoff team knew the remaining line-ups may not be in their favor. It was up to Violet to hopefully close the game for Eusoff. This game was much closer than the previous 2, with RH taking the lead initially.up till 7-2. After some great serves, Violet managed to catch up, 8-6. Eventually the set ended 11-7 to RH. Being a tennis player, Violet’s strength comes from her serves. The RH coach mentioned that tennis players always have the same weakness when playing squash, but he didn't want to tell me… Anyways, the 2nd set saw RH take the lead early and Violet was unable to catch up. The set ends 11- 5 to RH. After being nice enough to give 2 sets to her opponent, it was time for Violet to take things seriously. Eusoff is losing 2-0 now by the way. The 3rd set looked like it was going to RH as well. It was 7-4 to RH. Then, it was time for Violet to serve. That's when the game changed. 7-5? 8-8? 9-8, we take the lead? Eventually the set ended 11-9 to Eusoff. We got 1 back. The 4th set started with Violet gaining a lot of points with her service. 8-2 to EH. RH managed to catch up a little but it ended 11-5 to Eusoff. 2-2 the match score stands. Somehow Violet has managed to come from 2 sets down to even the game. Now, we are just 1 set away from securing a place in the finals. Rh took a lead of 5-0 and the set looked like it was going to RH. BUT THEN, violet brings the score back to 6-6, and even takes the lead 9-6. In the end ,she managed to close the set 11-6. With that Eusoff took this match 3-2. With this win, Eusoff secured their place in the finals.

The 4th player to face RH is shiryee. The RH player looked strong. Or maybe Shiryee knew they had already won the game and decided to go easy to not worsen her injury. The first set ended 11-0 to RH. In the 2nd set, Shiryee scored points but the set ended 11-3. 3rd set was closer, 4-4. Then RH took the lead , 7-5. Rh had the game ball, 10-5. But shiryee decided to give her opponent a hard time before losing, 10-8. The 3rd set ends 11-8.
Last player was Irene and her one and only racket. Pink hair pink racket lfg. Irene was going against her ex teammate. RH led early, 7-3. Irene was still warming up guys. First set ends 11-7. The 2nd set was similar to the 1st, RH led early, 9-3. Irene did manage to get some points but the set ended 11-7. It was time for the 3rd set, and probably by now Irene would have warmed up. Irene played the set well and won it 11-4. Unfortunately, the RH player just wanted to end the game, and finished the 4th set 11-8.
Despite losing the last 2 matches, the wins from the first 3 matches was sufficient to put the EH squash F team into the IHG finals.
