PEWPEWPEW!! It was finally time for Eusoff’s squash girls to pick up their racquets and have an epic battle against King Edward VII Hall.

Right off the bat, Rika’s sikkkk smashes stunned her opponent and left her opponent in a daze. She was just too fast and too strong with god-like agility and bull-like strength. It was as if she was orchestrating a masterpiece, making her opponents run in all directions, barely being able to touch the ball and sounds of the racquet whipping through the air but finding nothing filled the court after every serve by God Rika. Rika had total control over the game and her serves as well as hard returns were specifically aimed at open spaces on the court which were unreachable by the opponents who were just beginners at this sport. In a blink of an eye, Rika swept all 3 sets, leaving her opponents scoreless against her. It was a crushing defeat by Rika who dominated the court and despite hard fought efforts from KE7 to intercept her serves and steal a point from Rika, she was undefeatable and Eusoff was up 1-0 against KE7.

EH vs KE7: 11-0, 11-0, 11-0 (1-0)

After Rika’s outstanding performance which left everyone in shock, it was now Felicia’s, aka Fish, turn to match up against KE7. Fish started out strong as well, with most of her points coming from spectacular service aces. Her opponent was completely left in the dust, failing to return her lightning speed serves over and over again. However, when the opponent managed to return her softer serves and attempted to outwit Fish by hitting a drop shot at the front court, Felicia, as nimble as a fish somehow teleported to the spot in time and went for a cross court smash which left her opponent spinning. How dizzy must it have been for the opponent! For the first set, her opponent had a few lucky swings and hit the ball such that it landed close to the front court, which allowed them to steal some points. Yet, Fish still emerged victorious, taking the first set (11-4). For the second and third set, Fish gave no chances and stepped up her game even further and destroyed the opponents 11-2 and 11-3 respectively, taking the second win for Eusoff.

EH vs KE7: 11-4, 11-2, 11-3 (2-0)

Next up, was Farah who faced a tougher opponent from KE7. Farah was unfazed and took the first 2 sets easily with a service game serving her opponent rock-like serves which were unreturnable. Despite a crushing defeat in the first 2 sets (11-2 and 11-1 to EH), Farah’s opponent suddenly shook the crowd in the third set, dropping 7 points by managing to return Farah’s balls with dropshots and as Farah was exhausted, her opponent was able to catch up. Yet, all hope was not lost. With her teammates’ unwavering support and cheers, Farah went RAH-RAH and hit a boast (aka an extremely difficult shot) where her ball ricocheted against multiple walls and hit the centre wall to score a point which regained her momentum. SIKSIKSIKSIKSIK COMEBACK BY FARAH. Farah then controlled the rest of the match, and ran down her opponent’s stamina with patience and amazing ball placements which led her to take the last set (11-7) and a third win for Eusoff! YAYYY!

EH vs KE7: 11-2, 11-1, 11-7 (3-0)

After the intense match by Farah which left this reporter gripping the edge of my seat, it was Sarah’s turn to go against her opponent. Just like the rest of the girls, Sarah managed to win most of her points with hard serves, scoring many incredible service aces. WHERE DO THEY EVEN GET THEIR SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH FROM?? Her opponent was stunned just like the rest, swinging the racquet into nothing but air despite their efforts to return her serves. However, her opponent remained resilient and managed to pick a few points from Sarah. Towards the end of the game, Sarah went RAH-RAH too and hit a few boasts, making her opponent scramble from wall to wall, trying but failing to return Sarah’s beautiful shots and only returning with a bucket full of sweat. Sarah swept all 3 sets beautifully and got her hands on the 4th win for Eusoff woohooo!!

EH vs KE7: 11-4, 11-0, 11-1 (4-0)

Last but not least, it was showdown time for Captaaaaain Fong Ling!!! Just like how Rika started the match with a thunderous BANG, Captain Fong Ling did not disappoint and totally decapitated her opponent. She was TOO FAST and TOO FURIOUS for her opponent. Every serve that she whacked against the wall was like an ice shard which left her opponent frozen to the ground. She aimed her shots with robot-like precision, close to the walls such that her opponent had no space to swing to return her shots and was completely under her control. Just like a puppet master, Fong Ling had ultimate control over all 3 sets and made her opponent run suicides on the court with her intelligent ball placements. Fong Ling grabbed the 5th win for Eusoff completely with two hands (and her feet and entire body), and Eusoff emerged victorious with a perfect score of 5-0 against KE7.

What a spectacular match by our Eusoff girls who never wavered and displayed the true Eusoffian spirit with their resilience and support for one another. Watch out for our girls in their next match against Sheares on Wednesday! See you there!
