Following their dominance against other halls just one day before, our Eusoff softballers strode into the field once more, ready to bring the heat in the second softball carnival.
EH vs RH: EH 5 - 14 RH
Eusoff began their first match against Raffles Hall, starting off with Darren as the pitcher. RH made it into second base, but Gin managed to defend incredibly and stopped the ball at third base. Subsequently, RH continued to fill up all bases, scoring 7 runs. EH, with two runs, saw a home run by Darren to get them their third run.
The match proved challenging for our Eusoffians, especially with added pressure from the RH players who had several conflicts with Tien and Charmaine. Despite being down, our EH players continued to make good plays, with Justin demonstrating a good stop and throw, as well as Ruowei making several great pitches. Charmaine also made an insane hit that sent the ball soaring towards the end of the match.
Ultimately, RH took the game, but our Eusoffians put up a great fight against the odds, and definitely put on a show for the supporters.
EH vs TH: EH 7 - 9 TH
Following their tough loss against RH, the softball team kept their heads up and got ready to face off against Temasek Hall. Ben stepped up to bat, and his presence alone was enough to pressure TH, making two bad pitches against him. He managed a great hit, setting off the initial momentum for EH to score 6 outstanding runs.
Following that, TH transitioned to offense. Our Eusoffians seemed to have overheated a little, allowing TH to eventually overtake EH, 6-8. Yet, Ben and Kelly managed to score one more against them, with an amazing drive by Ben, and Kelly making it home to get EH 7-8.
Ruowei and Pradeep also continued to give it their all towards the end of the match, but unfortunately, though a comeback was looking good, there was no time left and the final score was 7-9.

EH vs SH: EH 18 - 3 SH
Eusoff’s final match of the day put them against Sheares Hall once again. They started off strong, stealing the first two runs, with Bowie making a beautiful hit to secure Eusoff’s third run. Before you know it, the score was 7-2.
Ruowei led the next attack, being the first one to bat, preceding Ben who managed a stroll to second base. With the bases loaded, EH led 12-3, and as Aqil stepped up to bat, EH eventually won SH with a resounding 18-3.
Overall, our players put on their best effort, hustling under the raging hot sun and keeping their chin up even when they were down. Let’s all give our players as much support as we can for their upcoming playoffs this Saturday and we’re sure they will come back much stronger!
Our softballers still keeping their heads up and spirits high
