Our softballers started out their IHG season with a bang at the softball carnival on 7 January. Each armed with their bespoke Eusoff Softball visors and caps, the team made sure to perform up to the Eusoffian Standard (which is very, very good). Let’s recap their outstanding performance in today’s matches!
EH vs KR: EH 10 - 4 KR
Our players arrived at their first game looking fresh and confident, ready to decimate their opponents. However, the decimation had to wait, as KR had made a mistake in filling their lineup form, causing a 40 minute delay in the match.
However, our softballers took this in their stride, taking their time to warm up and prepare for the match to come. The match kicks off to a shaky start, with Eusoff initially lagging behind at 3-2 to KR. However, with Darren’s godly pitching skills and some great catches by the outfield (especially Si Heng’s insane catch :O), Eusoff effortlessly pulled away with a score of 10-4 by the end of the match!

EH vs KE: EH 15 - 2 KE
Right after their match against KR, our softballers went head to head against the KE team. The name of this match is “INTEGRITY!”, as Aqil shouted at random moments throughout the match for reasons that I still don’t really understand. I guess you can ask him if you’re curious??? Softball rookie Ashwin makes an impressive catch as the catcher. While KE tried their hardest to contest this (something about shoulders and batting), even resorting to teaching the referee(???), she maintained her position regarding the ruling, allowing us to get yet another KE player out. This “rly steam” game ended with yet another undeniable victory to Eusoff.

EH vs SH: EH 14 - 0 SH
After their lunch break, the team got their heads right back in the game with their match against Sheares Hall. The match started off slow with Eusoff leading narrowly at 2-0 at the end of the 1st inning. However, with our softballers putting consistent, heavy pressure on the Sheares team, their pitcher quickly began to fumble, “walking the whole world” LOL. Despite a few questionable calls regarding the Eusoff team’s pitching, our star-studded lineup managed to end the game with a devastating score of 14-0. Well done softballers!

Coming out of today’s matches with straight W’s all around, it’s clear to see that Eusoff Softball is not to be trifled with. Stay tuned tomorrow as they continue to set the field ablaze this IHG!
