After a decisive win against RH, the netball girls are brimming with confidence coming into their match against KE. As this was the last match for their prelims, they needed to win this match to be the top seed of their group for the semis next week.
First line: Chloe, Phoebe, Zhi Qi, Michelle
The first line started with an intense pre-match strategy discussion, showing that the girls are taking this match against KE very seriously. One could tell that they were seriously going to destroy KE. Chloe starts off the match with a close shot, jumping forward and taking the rebound to score the first point of the game. KE then proceeds to show some strong defence, guarding their hoop well and managing to score a counterattack tying up 1-1. However, fatigue soon set in and our girls pulled ahead, ending the match 7-1.
KE's defense does nothing to Zhiqi as she does a swift no look pass
Second line: Reese Cheryl Carris Joie
The second line starts the match with a simple plan. Reese, Cheryl and Joie will draw the defenders away from the hoop, and Carris will wait at the goal for a long pass. Despite KE’s best attempts at intercepting the passes, they just could not do it as Carris towered over them. It was then just a simple shooting practice for Carris, fulfilling her role as the main goal attacker and bringing Eusoff to a 22-1 scoreline.
not sure if its helpful for 3 KE girls to stand there since Carris towers over them while scoring....
Third line: Rishika Hanxi Ying Jia
The third line had only 3 players, featuring “Immabush” Rishika and her first IHG netball debut would turn out to be a real test of stamina as they had no subs. The game starts off with Rishika showing some good D, covering KE’s entire field of vision every time they wanted to pass. Hanxi was quick and was somehow able to get many rebounds despite her small size, putting balls through the hoop with ease. Coupled with Ying Jia’s overwhelming height advantage, the girls led 19-0 for the third line.
veteran SSP player Yingjia with the GOOD DDDD and stopping KE's balls no mercy....
Once again the girls had an outstanding performance, stomping the competition and never giving them room to breathe. Their matches were low-key illegal to watch as they would not only decimate the scoreboards, but their competitors’ souls. As they advance to the semi-finals this Tuesday, catch these netball sharks live @eh_netball. Lets go EH netball!
