It was a cold and gloomy morning. The recent sweater weather is enough to keep others in bed for most of the morning. This was not the case for our Eusoff netballers who were all riled up and ready for their finals game against Temasek Hall. The game saw a decent turnup of supporters

The game started on time and away they went. Immediately, TH strong defence shone through. Our Eusoff netballers, however, responded to this well by stepping up their game as well, making plays around the court and scoring good goals. Our LYLC, Michelle, brought her A game to her final IHG game, catching every rebound and intercepting TH passes whenever it came dangerously close to the net. Both sides found it difficult to make the easy passes, simply because the defense of these two powerhouses were just through the roof. Shoutout to Rish for playing in IHG finals on Sunday and flying off to exchange just 2 days after. The 2nd quarter closed off with 12-10 to TH.

Our towering line of defence!

In the 3rd quarter, netball captain Reese donned her bib and was ready to roll. Eusoff was launching attacks on their own but were often caught responding to TH’s equally strong counterattacks. Everyone was playing their hearts out on the court. Chloe, in particular, was unfazed by the mass taunting from the TH supporters and focused on the game at hand. Charris, too, smiled in the face of these taunts. Quarter 3 closed off with 20-16 to TH.

Rish urgently looking for people to pass it off to.

Moving into the final quarter, there was a sense of urgency for the netballers to perform. It was evident they played even harder, not backing down in the face of challenge. They were putting up a hell of a fight but TH defense reigned supreme. The game ended off at 29-25 to TH.

It was an incredibly close fight and was anyone’s game at any point during the match. Despite the mass one-sided taunting going on, the netballers still exercised sportsmanship, ending the game off with an exchange of handshakes with the TH netballers. We are proud of our Eusoff netballers for bringing their A game to this IHG, GOOD JOB EUSOFF!
