Our boys are back again to dazzle us with their amazing handles, ready to drop some buckets. Today’s unfortunate recipient of the Eusoff basketballers’ spanking is none other than our neighbours, TH. If you thought that last week’s game was exciting, this week’s one was just sedap delicious with the re-addition of our IVP boys to the lineup.
Eusoff started off hot sinking threes right off the bat. More impressively, the team put solid pressure on the opponents, forcing many steals which were awarded with buckets. The defence was so solid that it forced a 24 second violation – and don’t be mistaken, TH didn’t do that on purpose for Kobe (RIP Kobe, you will be missed). Solid plays all around whether out on the perimeter or down low led to a comfortable lead in the first quarter with our basketballers coming up ahead 21-12.
Who other than Jovi to start off the second quarter red hot with a long two and the man even followed it up with a no-look pass to Alfred who sank a foul-in for a three point play. Good D by the Eusoffians once again held TH to 0 buckets in the first four minutes of the second quarter. It was a slaughterhouse out there as TH tried desperately to breakdown the Eusoff defence. 48-22 to Eusoff wrapped up the quarter with not much eventfulness.
Jovi was absolutely unstoppable in the 2nd quarter. No answer from the TH camp.
Raymond began the second half with a mamba-esque fadeaway jumper and from then on, we were raining threes on TH. With the game pretty much in the bag at this point, Ken- “Westbrook”-Jun decided to pad his stats and was out there fishing for a triple double by missing and catching his own rebound like 3 times (he didn’t even score in the end though). Time and time again, TH crashed against our defence but just could not find their way through the solid team defence on the other side of the court. Kudos to working hard on both ends of the court lads.
A sea of whites attempt to stop the Raymond. Beast, and legend.
The rest of the game was the complete annihilation of the opposing team, Eusoff finishing the game off 84-37 – some really NSFW content here with our ballers almost than doubling their score. The Eusoffians gave it their all and showed no mercy.
See y’all for the next game on Wednesday, 5th Feb, to check out more intense basketball action.
