Match 1
Playing the first match of the day is never easy, but after a few points, Shimin managed to find her rhythm and easily returned her opponents shots. Looking cool and composed, she darted around the court with ease and did not hold back on the smashes, winning the first set 21-14. Not satisfied with the score, she ups her game in the second set and delivers more aggressive and tactical shots to her poor opponent. With that, Shimin took the second set with a wide margin of 21-7, and raised the spirits of the badminton girls by winning their first match of the day! Damn cool seriously.

Shimin put the girls in a strong position with the first match.
Match 2
The freshie-senior duo consisting of Zhiyi and Joanna stepped on court to begin their match and from the start it was clear that their chemistry and skills are off the chart! Although Joanna always teases Zhiyi for being an idiot, Zhiyi seemed to have left all her blurness off the court as she returned shots with ease. Joanna is no joke as well, smashing with forcefulness that her opponents can barely react to, allowing the pair take their first set 21-4 easy game. They continued to work together flawlessly for the second set, playing so well that it was almost impossible to tell that Zhiyi had an injured hand and ankle and idk what else. Joanna showed the opponents no mercy and delivered more strong smashes, and with a deft touch, she finished the second set 21-3.

Match 3
Gladys Loo sauntered onto the court with a confident aura and immediately whipped out her signature bright pink racket to begin the match. She is got off to a tougher start with the score for the first set tied at 2-2. Luckily for her, her natural affinity for badminton and ensured that she took the lead with accurate judgement and well placed shots, taking the first set 21-12. She took an early lead for her second set, 11-3, but had a slight lapse in concentration momentarily. Her opponent takes advantage of this and narrows the gap but the ex-youth team player Gladys was not having it! A few smashes later and Gladabz won her second set 21-12. Having secured the win for Eusoff, she struts off the court with an arrogant smile! Good job!

Match 4
Chiobus Huilin and Sheri start the match off for the 2nd doubles well, making their opponents trip over themselves on multiple occasions to receive their shots. Leaving no room for error, the pair deliver well placed shots and solid smashes, destroying their opponents and taking the first set 21-0. They continue their excellent play in the second set, and after winning Computing bash, IHG seemed to be a walk in the park for Huilin as she delivered shot after shot that the opponents could not hit back. Not to be outshone, Sheri received shuttlecocks with ease and delivered some sick smashes of her own, giving the duo the second set W at 21-2.

Match 5
Clara finds herself against a strong player for the final match of the day, and unfortunately her opponent took advantage of Clara’s initial shaky start, and delivers some well-struck overheads, taking the lead 11-5 to KE7 in the midgame. Despite her best efforts, Clara lost the first set 21-6. After a rousing pep talk and sick strats from captain Elis, Clara stepped up for the second set and returned shot after shot from her opponent. It was a nail biting match as Clara loses and gains back the lead multiple times throughout the game. She delivered multiple hard smashes and well placed shots, but they were not enough to stop her opponent who manages to receive her smashes and Clara eventually loses the second set by an extremely close margin of 21-19. Good job to Clara, who fought hard throughout the game, showing us her perseverance and drive!
With insane grit and determination, Clara almost pulled off an upset! What a game by her!
